Blavatnik School of Government
LOCATION: University of Oxford
Completed in September 2015

Founded in 2010, The Blavatnik School of Government (BSG) is one of the youngest and most vibrant departments in the University of Oxford.  BSG is a global school pursuing a vision of a world better led, a world better served and a world better governed. The new building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron opened in September 2015.

Aram Contracts worked alongside the architects, Herzog & de Meuron, to select furniture to suit the prestigious new building designed for BSG. The brief was to provide furniture which was functional whilst creating state of the art facilities for students who would come to study at BSG from all over the world.

To assist with decision making, involving a large faculty, Aram Contracts held a sampling session on site to provide a mock-up of what the average office, cafe and lounge area would look and feel like. This was a fantastic opportunity for all of the client team to feel involved in decision making process in the building interiors.

Aram Contracts supplied a phased delivery and installation whilst the site was still under construction to allow completion of certain areas so that teams were able to move into the building over a number of weeks.
